Harrah! A use for Tonawanda's surplus dogs has at last appeared! A man and his wife have established a dog fat factory and the product is said to be a sure cure for consumption. Let's charter a couple of Vanderbilt's freight cars and ship a sample of our grease to the Flour-City.

The street lamp near the Adam Street ditch bridge hasn't been lit for two months past. What's the use of a lamp-lighter? Another lamp, corner of Broad and Seymour Streets is smashed. An example should be made of the miscreants who meddle with village property.
There is talk among the citizen's of the South Village of a protest against the payment of any more bills for lighting the street lamps until the work is done. Whoop'er up, gentleman.
